Brake Wagon
Handbook description
Decreases the speed of your train. Dash to activate!
Strategy
To activate the wagon, the player needs to dash into the wagon twice. When active, the train speed is slowed by 75% for the active duration. After activation, players need to wait for the brake wagon to recharge before activating the wagon again. The recharge progress is indicated by the orange bar.

Time Extensions increases the active duration of the brake wagon to 20.8s with a Recharge duration of 120s. This means that with 5.7 wagons, you can guarantee one Brake wagon is active at any given time.
Taking 3 
Supercharge Extensions decreases the recharge duration to 102s, with an active time of 13s. This means that it would take 7.8 wagons to guarantee one Brake wagon is active at any given time.
Thus, is it most effective to take 3 time extensions for the brake wagon.
However, at extremely high speeds where players are completing levels in less than 13.0s (the time of a single brake car's duration), it may be more effective to take the supercharge extensions for faster recharge times.
