Handbook description

The cart offers a target flag that can be placed anywhere on the map where the cannon will shoot to when loaded with items afterwards.

Strategy

Placing tracks using the cannon wagon

Changing direction when the cannon wagon is placing tracks

The cannon wagon carries a small target flag that players can pick up. The cannon wagon can shoot anything the player can hold, including tools and animals, towards the target. If the wagon is loaded while a player is holding the target, it will not fire. If a dynamite is loaded, the fuse time will not start until it lands.

The cannon wagon can fire the whole input stack at once, unless it is in track building mode.

Auto track placing

If a track is loaded into the wagon, and the target is placed on top of the last track, the cannon will enter track placing mode. In this mode, tracks are fired one at a time in the direction the track is facing and the target will also be moving with it. Note that the cannon wagon isn't smart enough to route the path in any way. If the forward path is blocked, loaded tracks will be dropped next to the last track. You can change the direction the track is going by placing a track manually in the desired direction.

Because the tracks are fired at a constant rate, and that it does not turn intelligently, auto track placing using the cannon wagon is not recommended for multiple games, or high speed, or on medium and above levels.
