  • New: Basic Keyboard remapping in the settings UI. Elements like emojis menu will be added soon
  • Improvement: When the game crashes due to a graphics driver, we show a confirm dialog suggesting to run with the game with the different driver
  • Improvement: Less likely to receive a “Can’t connect to servers” on startup

While advanced key-remapping was originally planned for a later update, we added a basic version already as many players requested it. Note that not everything can't be changed in the UI yet since we don't want that players can misconfigure their game such that no menu is usable anymore. Also note that some things are missing like emoji remapping since they need advanced rules in the UI. However you should be able to remap everything via the actual settings files.

In %APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\Unrailed2 on windows or ~/Library/Application Support/Godot/app_userdata/Unrailed2 on macOS, you'll find keyboardremapleft.txt, keyboardremapright.txt, keyboardremapsingle.txt (for split), Switch.txt, PS4.txt, Xbox.txt and Xbox_left.txt Xbox_right.txt etc for split controllers once you did some remapping ingame. Here you can edit the files yourself.

Hey everyone! Base on the most pressuring feedback, we provide another patch! For those playing with the toy engine, we tried to make the game less frustrating since bolts should not be removed anymore. Also savegames with the toy engine can be loaded multiple times. Above that and since the game is not everywhere stable yet, we added a savegame recovery functionality, allowing to restore savegames after the game crashed. For that, just restart the game and you should be asked whether you want to restore the last save. Let us know if these changes help and if you have any other issues!

Hi everyone! Another patch before the weekend! Based on the feedback, we added an UI scaling option. Above that and to improve the visual clarity issue, we decided to take out the map rotations - we're curious what you think and whether it helps or not. We also added a replay menu. Note that for now, replays are only working with the version it was recorded with - this might change in the future but currently it does not seem worth the effort to keep the compatibility for those quick iterations.

On another note, we found out that with the "Nahemic" audio driver (some MSI software), some players could not start the game. We recommend disabling the software, if possible. It might also lead to freezes or other bugs.

Hey everyone!

We pushed another patch for the weekend! The biggest change is related the canyon boss which should feel fairer now: The tracks are now disconnected once they’re placed in the worm area (during a rumbling) and if there was enough space in front of the train. If there was not enough space in front of the train, the game will keep an evasion path open. After the worm created a whole, building into a deadlock scenario is still possible if players decide to build in a direction without keeping space for a path back.

  • New: Santa Hat and Gingerbread Skin added and Snowfigures appear randomly in endless and unlock both (during winter season only)

Since we accidentally released the Supporter Pack already 🤦 (it was scheduled for the 19th and we can’t revert it unfortunately but now you can have a look at it already 😉 ), we had to push a major part of our next big update a few days before schedule, which enables the supporter pack but also much more. There will probably be some hot-fixes during the next days, so let us know any issues you encounter! We push a more detailed announcement on the 19th 🙂

Hi everyone! Here comes another batch of fixes and we officially added achievements now 🙂 Concerning the new input-system, we heard that some players had issues with they controllers. If it's not fixed in this version, you can still revert to the original system by using ++ --noSDL as launch parameter (right click on the game, then properties).
