Handbook description
Picks up commodities placed nearby.
Strategy
Collector wagon prioritizes collecting resources that are nearby instead of resources near the back. This means even if the auto drop can be added it is mostly useless because the collector would pick up that resource nearly immediately.
Storage push extension is very helpful because otherwise resources would be pilling up on the output stack and you would have to load that resources into the storage manually.
If you want to direct the resources into another wagon, such as the Compactor Wagon, you would need to put a front pull extension on that wagon.
Storage pull extension can automatically load the wagon. If you can't find any, front pull also works if you put a storage wagon in front of it.
