Handbook description

Gives you a turret that fires at everything that can be destroyed, but overheats over time.

Strategy

The wagon produces a small turret that you can carry around and place on the ground. The turret can shoot at resources, including rocks underwater, webs, and bones nearby.

The Turret Tower requires water to operate and includes 50s of Water Capacity at level 1. Water depletes only while the turret is shooting. When the wagon runs out of water, both the turret and wagon will overheat and catch on fire. If the turret is not located on the wagon when it catches fire then it will need to be put out separately from the wagon. The turret will not shoot until both the wagon and turret are extinguished. Players equipped with the Throwing Cartridge can extinguish the wagon from a distance by throwing water with the Bucket, however the burning turret must be interacted with directly.

The Turret Tower pairs well with the Hydrocharge Extension. The turret naturally requires water to operate and increasing the turret's level (whether through the Blacksmith Station upgrades, the Supercharger Wagon, or the Supercharge Extension) decreases its water capacity. Using a Hydrocharge Extension provides two level upgrades and adds 20s of water capacity, but water consumption speed increases by 1x for each Hydrocharge.

An upgraded turret is extremely effective in the Island Interchange Biome as it can reveal and damage underwater rocks without using a Crab. It can also quickly destroy the Octoboss's tentacles before the boss is able to flood the map.
