Island Interchange Biome
Terrain
Island Interchange features two island states, a high tide, and a low tide.
During the high tide, the map is mostly underwater and only wood can be obtained, all iron sources are underwater and cannot be mined with tools, or exploded with bombs or torpedos. While underwater, iron sources cannot be walked on, tracks cannot be placed on them, and bridges cannot be built on them. The Turret Wagon can shoot iron that is underwater, making it a useful wagon for this biome.
During the low tide, all of the water goes away and players can walk across the entire map on the sand. During low tide, iron sources are exposed for mining. Once an iron source is mined, the tile can be walked on and tracks can be placed.
The tide shifts every 30 seconds and the state is preserved when at the station.
NPCs
Crab
Can move over water. Rideable and milkable.
Crab is a non-hostile milkable animal that can turn water tiles around it into sand, as well as revealing iron underwater. This allows you to traverse across the water without bridges during the high tide and to gain access to iron.
Cloud
Clouds almost always have a cold, and they push items away when they sneeze.
Cloud will seek out the tallest item stacks on the ground and actively try to push them into the water. When a stack of items is next to the river, only the item at the top will be pushed into the water.
Boss Fight
Octoboss
Throws blobs of water with its tentacles and sets the whole map underwater if the tentacles are not destroyed in time.

The Island Interchange bossfight is the Octoboss. When the boss appears, the entire map is turned into the low tide. The Octoboss will appear along with a number of tentacles what fling water across the map. When a tentacle's projectile hits the map, it will permanently change that location into pure water, even during low tide.
Tentacles can be destroyed by any tool, or by simply placing a bridge on top of it, or by the projectiles of the Turret Wagon. A leveled up turret wagon can destroy all tentacles nearly instantly, making it a great wagon against this boss. Note that dynamites and torpedoes do not damage the tentacles.
If all of Octoboss's tentacles are destroyed before the Octoboss goes underwater, the map remains in low tide. However, if any tentacle remains, the whole map will be converted to high tide until the boss comes back.
