Stations is where players can rearrange their wagons, purchase new Wagons or Extensions. At all stations, except for the Biome Junction Station, there is also a sign post where players can use one bolt to purchase an additional task, and a 3 slot storage space where players can store either wagons or extensions.

Station Types

Station Difficulties

Each level can be any of 4 difficulties. The first station of a biome is also an easy level. The difficulty of a level is indicated by the icon below the station. The harder the level is, the more bolts are rewarded at the end of the level. In addition, quality of the wagons at the Crate Station are also related to the difficulty.

Note that the difficulty of the level can be influenced by some Cartridges.

Easy

Rewards 2

Easy levels always have a clear path to the station that is not blocked by resources or any pinches forced by the mountains. Rivers blocking the path is usually 1 tile wide.

If the station is a Crate Station, the wagons would often have debuff extensions on it.

Medium

Rewards 3

Medium levels have a lot of resources that can block the path to the station. However, there is no pinches and usually does not force players to build long bridges.

Hard

Rewards 4

Hard levels have much more mountains and lakes. Resource management is crucial. However, mountains normally do not form pinches.

If the station is a Crate Station, the wagons would often have regular extensions on it.

Extreme

Rewards 5

Extreme levels are extremely rare (unless the Nether Cartridge is equipped). Resources are even more scarce. At least one pinch is guaranteed per level. Also note that the station of a extreme level is always the Cartridge Vault Station.

Cartridges are special abilities that players can equip to enhance their character. Each cartridge can be obtained multiple times during the game and the abilities will stack.

Obtaining Cartridges

Action cartridges can only be obtained at a Biome Junction Station. Passive cartridges, on the other hand, can be obtained in a variety of ways in the middle of a game:

The Cartridge Hub

Cartridge Hub is a building in the lobby where players can purchase and equip their starter cartridges before a run starts. Cartridges can be unlocked by obtaining the cartridge at least once during a session.

Players can have 1 starter action cartridge and up to 3 starter passive cartridges by purchasing the slots using

Note that you cannot change your starter cartridge once the game begins.

Cartridge History

When a player joins in the middle of a session where the team has collected some new cartridges, the Cartridge History would be open for the new player. For each station where a new cartridge is given, the player can choose one from all the options where the other team members have selected. For example, the biome junction station normally have 4 cartridges. If all players chose the same one, then the new player will have no other choice but to choose that cartridge. To avoid the situation where the only choices are action cartridges, the game also provides an empty slot as an option.

Action Cartridges

A player can have only one type of action cartridge equipped at a time. The starter slot can be unlocked at The Cartridge Hub. The cartridge effect is activated when the action button is pressed. For all action cartridges, except for Throwing Cartridge, the cartridge needs to recharge before it can be activated again. The recharge progress is shown in the semicircle below the player. It is blue if the ability can be activated again.
